May 20 – 24, 2019 was EHS Safety Week for the MacLean-Fogg company and MPS Trenton instituted daily reminders of why we work safe all year long.
On May 21, we had a Safety Week kickoff lunch where reusable branded water bottles were distributed to reduce spills on the floor and the amount of plastic being used every day. Throughout the week, trainings, meetings, communication monitors, awards and contests engaged team members.
An idea implemented by one of our employees was to transform the entrance into a reminder of our commitment to our company and each other, including why being safe every day is important.
On one side of the entrance, a Why I Work Safe photo collage showcases people and things we would not want to miss out on because of an injury. These include our friends, families, and good times together.
On the other side of the entrance, Mission Zero Commitment statements made by each of our team members line the wall, reminding us that we are responsible for our safety as well as those around us.
